Dr. Sajid Khalifa is a design educator (Assistant Professor) and Head of Design Department at Effat University.
He holds a Bachelor, Master and a Doctorate degree in Industrial design and advanced manufacturing from the UK universities.
He has 16 years of industry experience and trained employees of companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls-Royce and Cummins in the past 10 years.
After joining Effat in 2016, Dr. Khalifa strived and successfully achieved advancement in technology and talent acquisition to pioneer the product design education in Saudi Arabia.
He has conducted product design studios, senior thesis projects and now focuses in product design theory by teaching senior level courses.
He has led number of successful design consultancy projects, design curriculum review and accreditation projects.
His research interest includes, product design and development, product theory, Computer Aided Design (CAD)-Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), simulation modelling, advanced manufacturing technologies and design pedagogy and research.
