Ayman Eddakrouri is Assistant Professor, Director of Effat Library & Cultural Museum at Effat University. He holds three academic degrees; MA in Library and Information Science (LIS) from Cairo University, MA in Applied Linguistics (AL) from the American University in Cairo, and PhD in LIS and AL from Helwan University. He is also a member of the American International Consortium of Academic Libraries (AMICAL), Arab Federation of Library and Information, and Editorial Secretary of Arabic Journal of Library & Information Science.
With experience 20+ years in Arabic Linguistics, Teaching Arabic for non-Native Speakers, academic, public, and digital libraries, Dr. Eddakrouri makes use of his competencies in an attempt to reshape teaching Arabic as well as the function of the library to be a reading and learning hub and a community space for all users. He enjoys being able to help students, researchers, and others in general, and he does so cheerfully and patiently.
Before joining Effat University, Dr. Eddakrouri had worked at the American University in Cairo, the British University in Egypt, the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education, as well as other reputable institutions, either as an instructor of Arabic Language & Culture, librarian, evaluator of Information Retrieval Systems, or consultant of content and learning management systems.
