Dr. Mohamed Mahees Raheem is an Assistant Professor of Finance and the Director of Institutional Research and Quality Assessment of Effat University. He holds a PhD in Islamic Banking & Finance from International Islamic University Malaysia, and has also worked as an Economic & Sustainable Development Consultant in Malaysia. He is a Fellow at Higher Education Academy (HEA) UK, and a Young Fellow of the World Youth Network of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF).
As an academic, Dr Mohamed Mahees Raheem currently teaches at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and also serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate finance students. He is also involved in the development and review of program curricula, supervision of student internships and dissertations, and development of relationships with community.
As an administrator, Dr Mohamed Mahees Raheem is involved in overseeing all accreditation activities and quality assurance systems on an institutional level, college level and department level. He is also involved in all accreditation and ranking activities of the institution for both the local and international level.
Previously he was a lecturer of Finance and the Postgraduate Program Coordinator at Effat University from 2010 to 2015, where he coordinated and managed the Master Degree in Islamic Financial Management (MIFM), the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was involved in the development from its inception, implementation and review of the postgraduate program, which includes all aspects of course design and delivery and compliance.
