Rozina Shaheen is an Assistant
Professor at Effat University. She holds a PhD in Economics from
Loughborough University UK. She is also a Fellow at Higher Education
Academy (HEA) – UK. She has held Fulbright Visiting
Scholar(in US Public Policy) position at Dickinson College -USA. Before
joining Effat University in 2015, Dr. Shaheen worked at University of
Dammam - KSA, Loughborough University - UK, National University of
Science and Technology (NUST) - Pakistan and Institute of Business
Administration (IBA) - Karachi, Pakistan
Dr. Shaheen’s research
interest lie mainly in applied macroeconomics, monetary economics and
development policy analysis. Her published work covers diverse topics,
which include energy markets dynamics, fiscal and monetary policy
analysis, corporate governance, tourism demand modeling, and equity
market and portfolio diversification. Her research skills cover
threshold models, time varying structural autoregression, structural
equation models and volatility measures of ARCH and GARCH.

Shaheen is a member of Royal Economic Society, UK, American Economic
Association and Euro Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN).
