IAUP

International Association of University Presidents

The International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) is an association of university chief executives from higher education institutions around the world. Membership is limited to those individuals who serve as presidents, rectors or vice-chancellors at regionally accredited colleges or universities. IAUP is a NGO (Non Governmental Organization) holding the highest (ECOSOC) consultation rights at the United Nations and formal consultation rights with UNESCO. The primary purpose is to strengthen the international mission and quality of education of these institutions in an increasingly interdependent world, and to promote global awareness and competence as well as peace and international understanding through education. It is a unique worldwide platform that facilitates the exchange of professional experience through conferences, seminars, publications, and commissions.

IAU

International Association of Universities

IAU, founded in 1950, is the UNESCO-based worldwide association of higher education institutions. It brings together institutions and organisations from some 120 countries for reflection and action on common concerns and collaborates with various international, regional and national bodies active in higher education. IAU aims at giving expression to the obligation of universities and other higher education institutions as social institutions to promote, through teaching, research and services, the principles of freedom and justice, of human dignity and solidarity, and contributes, through international cooperation, to the development of material and moral assistance for the strengthening of higher education generally.

NAFSA

Association of International Educators

With nearly 10,000 members, NAFSA is the world's largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education. NAFSA and its members believe that international education and exchange—connecting students, scholars, educators, and citizens across borders—is fundamental to:

EAIE

European Association for International Education

Founded in 1989, the EAIE is the acknowledged European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. It is a non-profit, member-led organisation serving individuals actively involved in the internationalisation of their institutions through a combination of training, conferences and knowledge acquisition and sharing. It equips academic and non-academic professionals with best practices and workable solutions to internationalisation challenges and provides a platform for strategic exchange. It partners with key stakeholder organisations and institutions to promote members’ interests, and advance international higher education in Europe and the rest of the world.

ACSA

Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture

ASCA is a nonprofit, membership association founded in 1912 to advance the quality of architectural education. In addition to having over 250 architectural schools representing over 5,000 architecture faculty as members, it has also has over 500 supporting members composed of architecture firms, product associations and individuals add to the breadth of interest and support of ACSA goals.

ACSA provides a forum for ideas on the leading edge of architectural thought. It maintains a variety of activities that influence, communicate, and record important issues. Such endeavors include scholarly meetings, workshops, publications, awards and competition programs, support for architectural research, policy development, and liaison with allied organizations.

CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is an advocate and institutional voice for promoting academic quality through accreditation. The CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) is a rewarding and important forum for colleges, universities, accrediting and quality assurance organizations and others worldwide to address issues and challenges focused on quality and quality assurance in an international setting. It assists institutions and organizations in further enhancing capacity for academic quality, advances understanding of international quality

NASPA is the leading association for the advancement, health, and sustainability of the student affairs profession. Their work provides high-quality professional development, advocacy, and research for 15,000 members in all 50 states, 25 countries, and 8 U.S. territories.

ACE

American Council on Education

ACE is the major coordinating body for colleges and universities in the USA. It represents more than 1,600 college and university presidents and the executives at related associations, and is the only major higher education association to represent all types of U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions. Its strength lies in its loyal and diverse base of member institutions. It convenes representatives from all sectors to collectively tackle the toughest higher education challenges, with a focus on improving access and preparing every student to succeed

UNAI

United Nations Academic Impact

The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is an initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting and contributing to the realization of United Nations goals and mandates, including the promotion and protection of human rights, access to education, sustainability and conflict resolution. Since 2010, UNAI has created a vibrant and diverse network of students, academics, scientists, researchers, think tanks, institutions of higher education, continuing education and educational associations. There are over 1300 member institutions in more than 130 countries that reach millions of people in the education and research sectors around the world. Since its inception some thirty international networks of universities and other institutes of higher education and research have endorsed UNAI and encouraged their members to join, representing a global diversity of regions and a thematic wealth of disciplines. The work of these institutions is vital to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals as they serve as incubators of new ideas, inventions and solutions to the many global challenges we face. United Nations Academic Impact provides the integral link to these stakeholders to ensure that the international community harnesses the energy and innovation of young people and the research community in service to humanity.

Amical

Amical

Founded in 2004, AMICAL brings together 29 institutions of higher education located in 22 countries across Eastern, Central and Western Europe, West and North Africa, the Middle East, Central and Southern Asia, and Russia. Operating in diverse cultural contexts but committed to the American model of liberal education, AMICAL institutions have chosen to collaborate for mutual benefit and to support the advancement of learning and teaching. AMICAL holds an annual Conference on member campuses where participants have the opportunity to discuss emerging issues in libraries and information services in higher education, often with the participation of leading figures in these areas. The annual meetings are also an essential opportunity for AMICAL’s working groups and committees to plan collaborative projects for the coming year. AMICAL’s membership is aligned with AAICU (the Association of American International Colleges and Universities), whose participants are the campus leadership of AMICAL’s Full and Affiliate Member institutions. As a consortial organization, AMICAL belongs to the ACL (the Association for Collaborative Leadership) and ICOLC (International Coalition of Library Consortia) and partners with OCLC to offer library services to participating members. AMICAL’s development has been made possible through the generous support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The American University of Paris is AMICAL’s founding and host institution. ​
