Dr Ahmed Kassab, the founder of the Saudi Industrial Design week 2020 – 2021

• The first and second Industrial Design Weeks are an educational and awareness event about the field of industrial design in Saudi Arabia and the world, as it is based on a group of lectures and talks from Saudi and non-Saudi international designers.
• Impact:
• The contributions of Dr. Ahmed Kassab in the field of design in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the industrial design week, the first and the second, and many awareness activities have a great impact on the design community in particular, science and culture in general, as:
• Inviting international designers from all over the world to have an impact on society, openness to different opinions and cultures In the field of industrial design, invite local designers to introduce Saudi students to them, help to know and spread their work and activities.
• The first design week included several activities (competitions and design initiatives), it also led to an increase in community awareness of industrial design in the kingdom.
• He is always eager to educate students in the Kingdom about the importance of the field of industrial design and it's job opportunities, as well as its role in development to achieve the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
• Getting to know of students and practitioners of the industrial design field in the Kingdom design In addition to the available job opportunities, which led to a sense of confidence to a new field that is being taught in the Kingdom.
• Creativity:
• Thinking about an educational awareness event that is related to a new field in the Kingdom such as industrial design. Based on educating students and those interested in the field of industrial design about its role in development, changing our daily lives and shaping the future, by sharing the experiences of local and international designers, developing students' skills and linking the educational curriculum with the requirements of the practical market after graduation, it also aims to create a community of designers aware of the importance of design to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
• Outreach: All industrial design students in the Kingdom and abroad are Arab students, designers, and those interested in the field of design.

• Impact:
• Dr. Ahmed's lectures are an important reference for all students and those interested in the field of design and creativity.
• In addition to his role in teaching at Effat University and the constant support and guidance he provides to students that enabled them to come up with innovative products that precede many universities with years of creativity and experience, he is also a designer who has a role in spreading awareness of the field and providing informed advice to all interested parties in the field of industrial design through his recorded lectures and meetings, which are filled with precious knowledge and inspiration for all who seek it Whatever his field in industrial design.
• Creativity:
• The topics of the lectures were chosen to achieve the greatest benefit possible for students, on the link between design as a study, the industrial field and the stages of designing industrial product. With focusing on skills such as product drawing, practice design stages, and design for the future.
• In addition to the precious scientific knowledge in the lectures, students were made aware of the areas of design and their role in it, they also discussed Modern technology and its importance to product design, sustainable design and environmental preservation which constitutes a new pattern of daily life and predicts a promising future to communities and companies.
• Outreach:
• All industrial design students all over the world.

• Honoring Dr. Ahmed Kassab from His Excellency the Minister of Industry, Bandar Ibrahim Khareef, and His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund, during its participation in the Industry Hackathon in Riyadh.
• Dr. Ahmed presented a training workshop on products packaging design within the activities of the Industry Hackathon training camp.
• Impact:
• Dr. Ahmed gave a lecture and a workshop within the activities of the training camp, which helped the participants in the camp to develop their skills in designing products and packaging and emphasizing this through practice in the workshop, which enabled the participants to come out of the camp with creative innovations.
• Also, honoring Dr. Ahmed by the Minister of Industry is an affirmation of the Kingdom's interest in the field of design and its full support for it and for all successful models in the field as one of the most important fields of development that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 focuses on.
• Outreach:
• All participants in the Industry Hackathon in Riyadh, are students and designers.
