Dr. Ahmed M. Refaat is an Assistant Professor in the Architecture department, Effat University since February 2015. He also work as an Associate professor – on leave- in the faculty of Engineering, Architecture Department, Assiut University. He got his bachelor and master degrees from Assiut University. He got his PhD from Manchester University in the field of Architecture and Urban Design.
Academically Dr. Ahmed has a considerable experience in teaching and supervising under- and post-graduate students. His research work focuses on the morphology of the spatial structure of cities and the factors that propel their spatial transformations, and the achievement of walkable, livable and sustainable cities and neighborhoods. Using space syntax techniques, he conducted the spatial analysis of many cities and neighborhoods in Egypt and Italy.
