Stanford University annually sponsors "Women in Data Science" (WiDS) regional events around the world. The forum aims to inspire and educate data scientists and support women in the field. The WiDS program will feature female speakers on a wide array of topics in data sciences extending from data ethics and privacy to cybersecurity to data visualization and machine learning and more. The forum could be attended by both males and females (https://www.widsconference.org/).
This year WiDS will be celebrated across various cities in Saudi Arabia from March 5th to 7th and it will be coordinated by Bayan.
WiDS@Jeddah 2022 is scheduled on Monday, March 7th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event theme is “Data Pandemic" and it considers the abundance of data around us, are we making the most out of it, or are we overwhelmed by it, and what our future expectations are. The event will be hybrid: broadcasted over a live YouTube channel and face-to-face for Effat University community in the Library and Cultural Museum.
