About the Venue
Effat University has a historical background is the first female educational entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and today, one of the leading universities in the region. It was founded in 1999 in Jeddah and named after Her Royal Highness Queen Effat, wife of King Faisal. The University aims to bring academic excellence to local males and females and become a community resource for future generations in their quest for progress and self-development. The city of Jeddah is located on the coast of the Red Sea and is the major urban center of western Saudi Arabia. It is the largest city in Makkah Province, the largest seaport on the Red Sea, and the second largest city in Saudi Arabia after the capital city, Riyadh. With a population currently at 4.7 million, Jeddah is an important commercial hub in Saudi Arabia. Jeddah is the principal gateway to Mecca. It is also a gateway to Medina, the second holiest place in Islam.
