مشاريع الاستدامة في جامعة عفت

3.jpgThe University’s determination to minimize its environmental impact on future generations extends beyond its environmentally friendly Waste Management and Disposal Program. The University participated in an interdisciplinary project, whereby its waste materials are recycled for a noble purpose. The interdisciplinary project is a relationship between different stakeholders for the purpose of enhancing the life of villagers through maintaining self-sufficient independent living. The project employed a well-advanced 5D visualization technique to plan and construct a real-time simulation of an environmentally friendly village on the outskirts of the traditional city of Makkah. The University’s recyclable waste is recycled and then used in building houses in this rural village - Al Baydha . A house built of Effat’s recycled waste now stands in Al Baydha, paving the way for more successful examples of efficient and environmentally friendly waste management.
