It is important to know that Effat University, in its current fifth strategic plan (2022-2027), is reaping the fruits of its earlier four strategic plans and is continuing its journey towards achieving educational excellence and intellectual contribution, giving more attention to digitalization and innovation for achieving a more profound societal impact. The Deanship of Quality Assurance (DQA) fully supports this aspiration by fostering a culture of excellence in offering blended education, encouraging research that re-generates and innovates learning, as well as forging impactful connections with the wider community at large. In the last ten years, this strong culture of excellence has been reflected through the acquisition of national and international accreditation by the university and all its programs. Concerning national accreditation, Effat University achieved full accreditation up to 2031, and its bachelor and master programs achieved accreditation up to 2028 (Electrical and Computer Engineering, Cinematic Arts and Master of Urban Design), 2027 (Master of Translation and Interpreting and Master of Finance), 2025 (Design). Other programs are undertaking their second or third re-accreditation cycle. On the other hand, the bachelor programs of the College of Engineering achieved ABET re-accreditation up to 2029, the Bachelor of Science in Architecture achieved NAAB up to 2025, and in 2022 all the programs of Effat College of Business achieved AACSB accreditation up to 2027, and Effat University became Candidate for NECHE accreditation in Spring 2023.
Effat University entered QS World Universities Ranking in 2023-2024 achieving a rank 721-730. It continues to be one of the top 100 Arab Universities by QS and THE. It also achieved the position of 59 in the Arab Ranking of Universities in 2024.
Not only does Effat University support the Saudi Vision 2030 in all it endeavors, but it has also greatly supported sustainability initiatives and SDG Goals. This is evidenced by its featuring in QS Sustainability Ranking and THE Impact Ranking.
With stronger roots based in its Core Values and with a desire to innovate and excel nationally and internationally, Effat University aspires in the coming few years to achieve its educational goals in providing multiple forms of teaching and learning, obtain international accreditation for the institution and remaining programs, improve its ranking status and achieve subject ranking, increase the quantity and quality of its research contributions and enhance its relations with the wider community to achieve societal impact.
