Dr. Eman Mohamed

  • Research Interests:

​​​​Eman A. A. Mohamed is an Assistant Professor at the English and Translation Department and Dean of Quality Assurance at Effat University. She holds an MA and PhD in Applied Linguistics from Liverpool University, UK.

Before joining Effat University in 2003, Dr. Mohamed had worked for 13 years at the University of Alexandria, Egypt, and Arab Beirut University, where she taught varied courses in English for Specific Purposes, English for Academic Purposes, Discourse Analysis, Applied Linguistics, Semantic and Pragmatics, and Methodology of Teaching English as a Second Language.

Dr. Mohamed’s research interests lie mainly in written text analysis, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), corpus linguistics and lately in quality assessment and accreditation in the field of education.

Dr. Mohamed is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) (since 2014), Saudi Quality Group (since 2013), Member of the ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) (2009 to 2012), ESP Teachers Group, Egypt (since 2002), ELTeCS International Group, British Council (since 2001). ​
