About the Program

Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) program provides an in-depth study of the major concepts and tools in the theory and application of ‎modern Operations and Supply Chain Management techniques. Students will acquire knowledge and skills covering a range of strategic Operations Management functions including Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, and Service Operations. Topics may include inventory control, forecasting, queuing theory, optimization techniques, warehouse management, distribution networks, sourcing decisions, productivity, selecting suppliers, supply chain strategy, Quality Management, Assurance, and Control, data analytics, Project Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management Modelling and Simulation.

At the early years of your academic journey, you will take General Education Program (GEP), attributed to the Liberal Arts – an American style education. The (GEP) covers arts and humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and technological studies to help you gain insight into varied critical learning skills, investigate essential branches of knowledge, and develop appreciation of diversity and change across time, culture, and national boundaries.​

The Operations and Supply Chain Management program successfully acquired AACSB accreditation in Fall 2021 for a period of five years.

Program Vision

The program will lead Operations and Supply Chain Management education through global standards, innovation, research, and society engagement to foster the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia vision 2030.

Program Mission

The Operations and Supply Chain Management aims to graduate operations and supply chain management world class proficient leaders through data-driven learning experience, practice, and research to contribute to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia economic and community needs and challenges.

Program Goals​​

  1. To lead and position OSCM program to be recognized nationally and internationally as a reference in the field of OSCM education that nurtures highly qualified leaders.

  2. Encourage a positive learning environment that promotes integrity and team spirit through effective and inspiring leadership and adherence to quality.

  3. To provide an innovative, distinctive, and high-quality education, which inspires the student’s enthusiasm for learning and to launch new academic programs in OSCM while sustaining the academic excellence.

  4. To attract and maintain excellent and diverse students and provide exceptional experience to prepare them as ambassadors for life.

  5. To select, recruit, and retain qualified national and international researcher, faculty and staff in the program.

  6. To inspire researcher, faculty, staff, and students to take advantage of the abundance of learning assets using the campus resources and facilities.

  7. To develop, encourage, and support research activities within the program and collaborating with other faculty to contribute to the Kingdom economic and cultural prosperity and the global scientific advancement.

  8. Enhance the partnership with the community and industry through mutual exchanges of expertise, novel contributions to the 2030 vision, and effectively engaging students, faculty, and alumnae in the service of society.

Educational Objectives

​Providing an in-depth study of the major concepts and tools in the theory and application of ‎modern Operations and Supply Chain Management techniques, the curriculum is designed to cover a range of strategic operations and supply chain functions to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the key terms, theories, practices, and latest trends in the field of OSCM.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills in the field of OSCM.
  • Provide innovative solutions to problems in the field of OSCM.
  • Demonstrate ability to conduct research in the field of OSCM.
  • Demonstrate the understanding of ethical issues in OSCM.​​
