Teaching

  • Research Interests:

Teaching has always been an integral part of me since I began as a Teaching Assistant in 1984 in Minia university, Egypt. Since the department was new, part of my responsibility was to develop lab experiments to prepare lab manuals that support the teaching topics for several courses. These manuals I prepared were used for many years by other colleagues.
Now with over 35 years of experience, my devotion to teaching has grown ten-fold. I have taught a vast variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I have also stood at the head of classes of all sizes from the small few student lectures at Effat University in Saudi Arabia to lectures with hundreds of students in Minia university, Egypt.
At the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Effat University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia I taught the following courses:

• Introduction to ECE (ECE 106L)
• Electric Circuit Analysis I (ECE 201L)
• Signals and Systems (ECE 204)
• Special topics in ECE (VLSI Design)
• Introduction to Electronic Devices (ECE 211L)
• Introduction to Electronic Circuits (ECE 212L)
• Digital Logic Design (ECE 251LL)
• Power Electronics (ECE 365L)
• CMOS VLSI Design Methodologies (ECE 360L)
• Summer Internship I (supervisor)
• Summer Internship II (supervisor)
• Capstone Design Project I (supervisor)
• Capstone Design Project II (supervisor)
• Power Electronics and Energy conversion (MEGE 653)
• Seminar (METH 660)
• Thesis-I (METH 661)
• Thesis-II (METH 662)
