Ms. Maya Kamareddine

  • Research Interests:

Lecturer of Architecture at Effat University, college of Architecture and Design. I received my Master degree in Architecture from the Lebanese university, architecture department in 2004. My thesis discussing the “development of the rural areas through expansion of agricultural research in Bsharee” was my first interest toward sustainability and environmental solutions.
As a registered architect in Lebanon, I have developed my expertise in design and project management working for international consultants and developers inside and outside Lebanon. I have joined Effat University academic team in 2011, bringing with me a multicultural background and an excessive eagerness for building a new generation of leading women in the Arab world.

I teach courses in Architectural Design, Architecture History and Theories and responsive architecture. My co-edited book titled “School Farms: Feeding and Education Children” set to redefine the relationship between humans and their food resources as part of the 2030 sustainable development goal to fight hunger and invest in healthy communities.
