Effat University is concerned about preserving its ecosystem inside the university campus and supporting the movement to combat climate change by expanding green areas and planting trees. Trees are natural beings that can capture carbon and store it, absorbing and locking up carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere through photosynthesis. This is why planting trees is often lauded as one of many key solutions to the climate crisis. Therefore, one of the main initiatives of Effat University 2022-2027 strategic plan is increasing the number of trees at Effat University campus by planting and nurturing additional trees every year in its already available green areas across the campus.

FUTURE
The project was launched in 2022-2023 by planting new 32 tree. Effat University has launched this initiative to contribute to the preservation of the larger ecosystem and combating climate change, inside Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, the Middle East and the World.
